A Healthy Dose of Horror with Dr. Greg Baran and Dr. Pamela Peacock

On the evening of Saturday, October 19, 2013, participants ages 12 and up learned about surgical procedures in the 19th century and received a behind-the-scenes look at spine-tingling artefacts from the Museum’s collection. Dr. Greg Baran presented an evening of historical re-enactments of medical procedures from times past and played the part of a regimental surgeon from 1812. Dr. Pamela Peacock, Museum Curator, provided historical context by demonstrating artefacts such as a surgical case and pill rolling machine. Thank you to our wonderful performers, volunteers and participants!
